General InstructionsUpdated August 1, 2003
Logging InNEW:On-campus access and KU dial-up access (i.e., all access from a KU IP address) to all parts of the Art History Image catalog now is open. Since one now is required, in most cases, to sign-on and authenticate as a member of KU in order to to use workstations in campus computer labs and libraries, we are able to do this. Also, as of August 1, 2003, for those using the catalog from off-campus, authentication is done using the same KU Online ID Login screen and the same ID/password as that used to log on to other systems on campus (e.g., the student portal or other remote library databases). Anyone may search the catalog and view thumbnail images of the works of art and architecture. Only KU students, staff, and faculty may view the larger versions of each image. If you are not on-campus or using KU dial-up, the first time in each session you ask to view a "medium," "large," or "very large" image, you will be prompted to for a "Username" or ID and a password. Enter your KU online ID and password. The requested image them will display and, from then until the end of your browser session, you can view all additional images without having to again log-in.
