Location

This is where the item is shelved. If you do not know where to find the location, library addresses and hours information is provided on the University of Kansas Libraries Schedule of Hours (available at library service desks) and on the KU Libraries homepage.

Messages Appearing in the Location Field

No Holdings Available

This indicates that no holdings record is associated with the bibliographic record. This means no location and call number is available at the present time. Please ask at the service desk for assistance.

On Order

This indicates that an item is still on order and the library has not yet received this title. If you would like to be notified when it is available, please check at a service desk for a KU Libraries User Request Form.

Temporarily Located at (library)

Sometimes, in addition to listing a library location, there also will be a line stating that the item is "Temporarily Located" at another library location. This means the item is available at a place differnet from its permanent location. This is the case with most items on reserve, for example. This title is available for your use, but you should look for it at the library and location named in the "Temporarily Located" line rather than in the library and location listed on the "Location" line. If you do not find it on the shelf, ask for assistance at the circulation desk.
