Guided Keyword Search
This search option attempts to "guide" you through the process of combining different search terms. You may
search for the terms in any field or you may specify which fields you with to search, for example searching an
author name and a title word. It allows you to specify what field a word or words should appear in and helps
you construct a search that combines several individual searches.
To perform a Guided Keyword Search:
- Enter the search term(s) you want to find in the Search For.
(Punctuation, case, and word order are
ignored.) Your search terms are automatically truncated on the right, so you don't need to use a question mark (?)
for truncation.
- You may customize your search by doing any the following:
-select from the drop-down list whether you want to search for all the search terms, any of the search terms, or the search terms as a phrase.
-select from the Search by drop-down list the field or index you wish to search (default is to search any field).
-select whether you want to combine searches with "AND" "OR" or
"NOT"
- Click the Set Other Search Limits bar if you want to limit your keyword search
based on other criteria
- Click the Search button to begin your search.
- Click the Reset button to clear the search page.
